The Psychiatrist plays a crucial role in providing medical guidance and direct patient care within a collaborative multidisciplinary team. Our organization operates HUB Rockland, one of four specialized outpatient clinics under the MaineHealth Behavioral Health (MHBH) umbrella, focusing on the treatment of co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders in Mid-Coast and Southern Maine.

Qualified individuals will collaborate closely with the inpatient units and outpatient clinics of MaineHealth Pen Bay Hospital to assist patients throughout the MHBH care continuum, as well as with other regional organizations, including treatment and recovery courts. There are additional opportunities for inpatient weekend and holiday on-call duties, which are compensated separately.

• Graduation from an Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical School.
• Completion of an internship and/or an accredited residency program. Fellowship training in addiction psychiatry is advantageous but not mandatory.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience, which may include residency and/or fellowship training.
• Current or eligible licensure as a physician from the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine.
• Certification or board eligibility in a recognized medical specialty.
• Possession of a current DEA Registration Certificate.
• Fulfillment of additional credentialing requirements as outlined in the Medical Staff By-laws.
