Assistant Coach

Reference 2024-2505 Responsibilities Assist the head coach in all aspects of the volleyball program, including planning, organizing, and implementing coaching strategies. Collaborate with the head coach to develop and execute practice plans focused on improving individual skills and team performance. Provide instruction, guidance, and feedback to players during practices, games, and tournaments. Assist with player evaluations, skill assessments, and player development plans. Support the recruitment and retention of talented athletes for the program. Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling, equipment management, and communication with players and parents. Serve as a positive role model and mentor to players, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth. Represent the program at meetings, events, and conferences as needed. Qualifications Previous coaching experience at the high school, college, or club level. Strong knowledge of volleyball techniques, strategies, and game rules. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a coaching team. Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive team culture. Certification from a recognized coaching organization (e.g., USA Volleyball Coaching Accreditation Program) preferred.
