Position Overview Title: Chief, District 3 IT Operations Classification: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGER I Salary: $9,387.00 - $12,579.00 (Annual) Location: Yuba County Telework: Hybrid Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time Responsibilities Under the general direction of the Branch Chief, Information Technology (IT) Manager II, IT District Operations, the incumbent serves as the Chief for the District 3 IT Office. The incumbent oversees the PC / Customer Field Support, Network Services Support, and Technical Consulting & Deployment Services Units. These IT operations are staffed by IT professionals at various IT classification levels ranging from Information Technology Associate to Information Technology Supervisor II, who are responsible for end‑user desktop and mobile computers support, Local Area Network Support, Server Hosting, Storage Management, IT Procurement, Asset Management, and related services. The incumbent has full management responsibility for standards, processes, and procedures for the analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, operation and procurement of hardware and software for desktops and mobile devices. The incumbent is also responsible for organizing, planning, coordinating, directing, and controlling all day‑to‑day IT operations of the District 3 Marysville Office and the supported region. Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience as an Information Technology Supervisor I; or One year of experience as an Information Technology Supervisor II; or Six years of information technology experience performing a variety of progressively responsible technical, analytical, or supervisory tasks in support of computer systems or services in one or more of the major six domains or a closely related or emerging IT field. Educational Substitutions: A bachelor's degree may substitute for three years of required experience; an associate’s degree may substitute for one year; a master’s or doctorate may substitute for four years. Substitutions require 15 semester (22.5 quarter) units of information technology or closely related coursework.
