Medical Technologist I

Role Performs routine and complex laboratory tests to support diagnostic and research activities within a clinical setting. Responsibilities Assess specimen acceptability and resolve discrepancies Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instrumentation Perform validation of new reagents and controls Accurately report test results to ensure quality patient care Conduct preventative maintenance and quality control procedures Assist in processing specimens and replenish supplies as needed Maintain a safe work environment adhering to regulatory guidelines and SOPs Make technical decisions regarding testing and troubleshooting issues Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological sciences or related field Six months to one year of clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree Preferred certifications include ASCP or AMT Two years of clinical testing experience is advantageous Skills Strong attention to detail, good communication, organizational skills, and ability to work independently or in teams. Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems is beneficial. Flexibility to work overtime or different shifts may be required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
