- Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing a mix of standardized evaluations and observational methods.
- Create tailored therapy plans focused on achieving both immediate and long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Deliver individualized therapy sessions centered on improving communication skills, language acquisition, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
- Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop unified care strategies.
- Empower patients and their families with educational tools to support progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Assist with sporadic inpatient therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring continuity of care throughout recovery journeys.
- Keep comprehensive and timely documentation, adhering to state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Commit to ongoing education and collaborative learning within the field to stay abreast of the latest advancements.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based approaches to treatment for various age groups, along with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication skills, fostering strong relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Adeptness in customizing therapies to respect diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
