Records Management Specialist

The Records Management Specialist, under direct supervision, will be responsible for the retention and destruction of closed client paper files.

Responsibilities include:

• Processing client paper files for retention and destruction according to the Records Management Policy and Records Management Standard Operating Procedure.
• Scanning client paper files into the Electronic Health Record system that do not meet the destruction requirements.
• Assisting with record requests (e.g., locating, scanning, and sending records), as needed.
• Establishing rapport with staff, while maintaining appropriate boundaries.

Qualifications include:

• Valid driver's license and car insurance.
• State Police, FBI, and Child Abuse Clearances.

Working conditions include:

• Physical demands: operating a keypad device and electronic/office equipment, travel required approximately 5 times per month, routine use of fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows, legs, and feet, use of lower and upper torso, minimum requirements for hearing, speech, and vision, walking, standing, and sitting required.
• Mental demands: handling distractions, managing multiple tasks, occasional concentration on diverse problems.
• Environmental factors: office setting.
• Working hours: Monday through Friday, up to 40 hours per week. Part-time/Full-time.

Education: High School or better.

Experience: Less than 1 year: General experience.
