Assistant Fund Controller
Our client is a well-established investment firm that manages private investment vehicles across multiple strategies. Job Description
- Support fund accounting and reporting for multiple private investment vehicles (e.g., PE, growth equity, co-investments)
- Assist with quarterly and annual financial statements, capital account statements, and investor reporting
- Coordinate with third-party fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors
- Review NAV calculations, capital calls, distributions, and waterfall models
- Assist with management company accounting and expense allocations
- Support audit and tax processes, including data preparation and review
- Help improve internal controls, processes, and reporting efficiencies
- Respond to ad hoc requests from investment, IR, and senior management teams

The Successful Applicant
- A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Experience in fund accounting or a related field within the business services industry.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex financial data.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A CPA qualification or equivalent is preferred.

- Strong understanding of private equity or alternative investment fund structures
- CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with fund accounting systems a plus

- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
