Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehabilitation
Location: Atlantis, FL
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Day shift, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM; one weekend per month required.
Job Description: The Physical Therapist will be responsible for providing inpatient care in a 42-bed rehabilitation unit. This role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals including physical therapists and assistants.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Implement therapy interventions for orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general medical/surgical populations.
- Monitor and document patient progress using EMR systems.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to optimize patient care.
- Educate patients and families about therapy techniques and home programs.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Current Physical Therapist license.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facility settings.
- BLS certification.
- Ability to work varied day shift hours.
