Baker and Packager Associate

Position Summary Do you have a knack for helping people, following recipes and organization? Our Bakery/Packager associates prepare fresh baked items daily for our members through follow recipes and wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure our members have the freshest items available to take home to their families. There are times when you will juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members with their bakery orders. It’s hard work, but our bakery team finds it rewarding, especially since they’re a part of a large team with a common goal: happy, satisfied members. What You’ll Do Be a Team Member: Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team; communicating with the members of the team; and being flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas. Be an Expert: Prepares bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment and following recipes; wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise according to company policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation; operating, maintaining, and sanitizing equipment; understanding product and layout execution. Be a Techie: Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; using handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, and training. Be an Owner: Ensures commitment to operational excellence, maintaining work area according to company policies and procedures; ensuring quality and date control, eliminating waste; assisting members with purchasing decisions; and ensuring merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored. Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocates for the department and club; models high quality service; executes the basics at highest possible level of quality; exhibits energy, commitment, and passion. Complies with company policies, procedures, and ethics; uses Open Door Policy. Additional premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older.
