Travel Labor & Delivery RN

Schedule - Weekends: 3 weekend shifts per contract - Call: For AM & PM shifts — 2 calls required every 6 weeks

Assignment Details

• Patient Population: Neonates/Infants and Adults
• Unit Type: Labor & Delivery (includes triage)
• Typical Daily Census: ~15
• Patient Ratio: 1:1–1:2

Requirements

• RN Licensure: GA or Compact license required at submission
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Travel experience required
• Charting System: Epic required
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP
• Preferred Certification: AWHONN Intermediate

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients during labor and delivery, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections.
• Monitor and manage postpartum hemorrhage and shock response.
• Conduct external and internal fetal monitoring, including IUPC.
• Administer medication for high-risk antepartum care, including magnesium sulfate and antihypertensives.
• Perform neonatal care, including APGAR assessments.
• Assist in sterile vaginal exams and triage of obstetrical patients.

Compliance / Notes

• Orientation: 24 hours; 1 pre-approved time off allowed
• RTO Policy: Maximum 7 days per contract; must be finalized at submission
• Holiday Expectation: Travelers may be required to work major holidays during assignment
