Step into a pivotal support role as a Special Education Paraprofessional within a dynamic evaluation team based in Champlin, MN. In this unique contract position, you'll collaborate closely with special education staff to help ensure accurate and comprehensive evaluation processes that support students across various schools. Rather than working directly with students, you'll be key to both the organizational and observation aspects of special education assessments.
Key Qualifications:
- Must be considered highly qualified through ONE of the following:
• Passing the Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Para Exam
• At least 60 college credits (official college transcripts must be attached; diplomas not accepted) - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a fast-paced workload
- Capable of working independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Experience with paraprofessional responsibilities in a school setting is preferred
- Comfortable traveling between schools within the Champlin area
Position Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with evaluation teams to compile and organize student files
- Support in administering and documenting testing protocols
- Conduct student observations and prepare detailed write-ups
- Maintain and purge special education files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date
- Effectively communicate with special education staff and support team efforts
This contract runs from September 8, 2026, through June 8, 2027, with 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The role offers a consistent weekday schedule with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day. The position offers an hourly pay of $20.
