Duties for This Position The Lab Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of clinical operations within the Lab. Ensures reliable, high-quality diagnostic test results are delivered to practitioners in the most expeditious manner possible. Provides efficient and effective leadership to lab personnel. Ensures staff is well trained to perform clinical testing in the following Laboratory areas: blood bank, chemistry, serology, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, special chemistry, and microbiology. Performs laboratory testing in accordance with written procedures and understands methods and principles of laboratory medical science. Performs preventive maintenance on instrumentation and interprets results as to accuracy, acceptability and critical limits. Education Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in biological science or related field.
- ASCP Certification as a Medical Technologist or equivalency.
- Four years working experience as a general Medical Technologist including basic blood banking procedures.
- Leadership experience highly valued.
- Strong communication skills and independent judgment.
- Flexibility in demanding environment.
- Strong computer capabilities.
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
