Team Leader

The Team Leader assists with clinical supervision of patient care and job performance supervision of all employees on an assigned shift. Plans, coordinates and provides for optimum patient care on the unit. Performs professional nursing services for patients with a variety of needs utilizing the nursing process and within the scope, ethics, and standards of practice as defined by the American Nurses Association.

The pay range for this position is $40.71/hour - $61.06/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.

Responsibilities

• Provides effective departmental leadership through skilled communication, collaboration, effective decision making, and meaningful recognition with team members, other departments, and management.
• Assists with clinical supervision of patient care and job performance supervision of all employees on an assigned shift.
• Manages and coordinates resources needed for unit census, activity, and staff, in accordance with regulatory standards and SHC policy.
• Maintains all standards and competencies of the Staff Nurse position.
• Collaborates with the Nurse Manager and other members of leadership in managing the department budget, the delivery of care, quality and performance objectives, and personnel.

Qualifications

Required:

• BSN degree or in progress
• RN in state of Illinois
• BLS & PALS
• Two years of RN experience

Preferred:

• One year of leadership experience
