Role: Functional Analyst - Teamcenter
Location - Bay Area, CA - 4 days onsite
Duration - 6+ Months

Key Responsibilities
Business & Functional Analysis

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to PLM, engineering, and product lifecycle processes
  • Conduct workshops with stakeholders (engineering, manufacturing, quality, IT) to understand current and future-state processes
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs within Teamcenter
  • Define use cases, workflows, data models, and access controls
Teamcenter Configuration & Support
  • Configure Teamcenter modules (e.g., Structure Manager, Workflow Designer, Classification, BOM Management)
  • Support change management processes (ECR/ECO/ECN)
  • Assist in integration requirements with CAD tools (NX, CATIA, Solid Edge) and enterprise systems (ERP, MES)
  • Support UAT, defect triage, and validation of functional requirements
Stakeholder & Project Collaboration
  • Act as liaison between business users and technical/development teams
  • Support project planning, estimation, and delivery activities
  • Prepare functional documentation, user guides, and training materials
  • Participate in solution reviews and ensure adherence to PLM best practices
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify process gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Recommend PLM enhancements aligned with business strategy
  • Support system upgrades, patches, and new module rollouts

Required Skills & Qualifications
Functional & Technical Skills
  • Strong experience with Siemens Teamcenter PLM
  • Solid understanding of PLM concepts, BOMs, workflows, and change management
  • Experience in functional requirement documentation and solution design
  • Familiarity with CAD integrations (NX, CATIA, Creo, Solid Edge)
  • Understanding of Teamcenter data model and lifecycle concepts
Tools & Methodologies
  • Requirement management and documentation tools
  • Experience with Agile / Waterfall / Hybrid project methodologies
  • Basic understanding of Teamcenter customization (BMIDE, workflows) is a plus

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Prior experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, or PLM Consultant preferred
