Part-time Recruiter

CyberTrust Massachusetts is a non‑profit operating a Security Operations Center with a large number of student interns in analyst roles. We source the students from a consortium that includes 10 schools and workforce development programs with 700-1,000 students enrolled in cyber and computer science programs. From this candidate pool, we hire about 50 interns per year, in 4 quarterly cohorts (about 12 each quarter). We are seeking a part‑time, contract recruiter to run the recruiting process and fill the quarterly cohorts. Background: CyberTrust Massachusetts is a nonprofit that operates a Security Operations Center (SOC) staffed largely by student interns in analyst roles. We source students from a consortium of 10 schools and workforce development programs, with 700-1,000 students enrolled in cyber and computer science programs. From this candidate pool, we hire about 50 interns per year across 4 quarterly cohorts of roughly 12 each. We are seeking a part‑time contract recruiter to run the recruiting process and fill these quarterly cohorts with quality candidates from member programs. The role is approximately 20-25 hours per week, with an indefinite term. Location: This position is primarily virtual. The right candidate will need to attend quarterly meetings in Waltham, as well as seasonal career fairs and conferences, all based in Massachusetts. Only candidates residing in MA or NH are eligible. Job responsibilities: Actively identify and recruit potential applicants through a variety of outreach channels. Conduct comprehensive phone screenings as the initial evaluation step, and recommend which candidates should advance in the hiring process. Coordinate and schedule second- and third‑round interviews with the CyberTrust team, managing multiple applicant and internal calendars efficiently. Complete reference checks and prepare all required documentation for background checks. Extend internship offers and maintain regular communication with selected candidates through their start date. Provide feedback to the CyberTrust team on marketing, recruiting, job descriptions, and onboarding to help improve our program. Manage the applicant tracking system (ATS) and the documentation used to track prospects and report statistics. Attend seasonal career fairs, student showcases, and classroom panel discussions hosted by our educational partners. Collaborate with management on sourcing and recruiting for internal CyberTrust positions. Build strong, positive awareness of the CyberTrust internship program across the 10 consortium member colleges and workforce programs. Identify and maintain an active, consistent pipeline of candidates from across the member programs in order to source 12 quality candidates per quarter. Manage a recruiting workflow that delivers each cohort's candidates to our HR partner, Genesis, in time to complete onboarding and background checks before orientation and the start date. Schedule M-Thurs business hours ideally 10 am-3 pm, with some flexibility Process-driven, with the ability to establish new workflows and improve existing ones. Deadline-driven, able to meet the quarterly quota for intern hires on schedule. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to screen applicants and deliver feedback in a positive manner. Enjoys building relationships with faculty and potential interns across our educational consortium. Requirements: 2+ years of experience in recruiting or staffing, in an agency, corporate, or university setting. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and reporting.
