Join a dedicated educational health team as a School Nurse Rn, providing essential care to students and fostering a healthy learning environment in a regional school setting within the Midwest. Your role will focus on minimizing student absences due to illness and supporting their well-being to enhance educational success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage medical supplies and streamline daily operations to promote cost savings.
• Deliver quality triage, first aid, and health education tailored to student needs.
• Develop and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans when necessary.
• Communicate effectively and compassionately with students, staff, and families, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Ensure patient safety through adherence to universal precautions, safe medication administration, and accurate health documentation.
• Educate school personnel on student health protocols and maintain compliance with state health standards.

Education:

Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years. Enrollment in a BSN program within one year of employment is expected.

Experience:

At least two years of experience in health care related to school-age children or school nursing preferred.

Requirements:

Current active Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Proficiency with computer systems. Completion and maintenance of any region-specific required education.
