Laundry Manager
Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the laundry department, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards onboard the cruise ship
Train and supervise a team of laundry staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they are performing their duties effectively
Monitor inventory levels and ensure that all necessary supplies and equipment are available for the smooth running of the laundry department
Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations
Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all laundry items meet company standards
Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency and productivity within the laundry department
Manage and maintain laundry equipment, reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate department
Create and maintain schedules for laundry staff, ensuring adequate coverage at all times
Handle guest laundry requests and ensure timely delivery of all items
Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience and timely delivery of laundry services
Keep accurate records of all laundry activities, including inventory, expenses, and guest requests
Train and educate staff on proper laundry techniques and procedures
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in housekeeping or hospitality management is preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a cruise ship or hotel setting
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of laundry equipment and procedures
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as needed
Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus
