Key Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and stock products efficiently.
• Establish reorder points and maintain stocking levels, track equipment usage, and manage shipments.
• Maintain up-to-date catalogs and price lists for purchasing and sales teams.
• Lead inventory processes and collaborate closely with accounts payable to ensure invoice accuracy and timely processing.
• Assess purchase requests for policy compliance and determine appropriate ordering methods.
• Review contracts, bids, and quotes as directed.
• Resolve issues with defective or unacceptable goods by coordinating with users, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Work with Group Purchasing Organizations to ensure competitive pricing and contract compliance.
• Evaluate vendor selection based on pricing, agreements, value, quality, and availability.
• Compare repair requests with existing service agreements and process credits, returns, and replacements promptly.
• Adhere to privacy and security regulations regarding Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Maintain professional communication and relationships with team members, vendors, and external partners.

Education and Experience

• Minimum of 1 year experience in purchasing, delivery, or stockroom operations, preferably within a medical environment.
• Preferred: 2 or more years of relevant experience.

Skills and Abilities

• Familiarity with Electronic Data Interface (EDI) ordering systems.
• Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment purchasing.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Effective communication skills.

Physical Requirements

Medium work involving occasional lifting up to 50 lbs and frequent lifting up to 10 lbs. Approximately 26-50% of the workday may involve standing or walking.
