Associate Attorney — Domestic Relations Angelini & DiLeo, P.C. | Oak Brook, IL

Angelini & DiLeo, P.C. is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our domestic relations practice. We are a boutique firm that pairs the personalized attention clients expect from a smaller practice with the depth of experience, resources, and results typically associated with much larger firms. For the right attorney, this is an opportunity to take on substantive work, develop alongside experienced litigators, and build a meaningful practice from the outset.

The Role

The Associate Attorney will manage an active domestic relations caseload and contribute across all phases of a matter, including:

• Drafting petitions, motions, pretrial memorandums, discovery requests, and correspondence
• Conducting legal research and preparing legal memoranda
• Developing case strategy in collaboration with senior attorneys
• Appearing in court and managing a heavy caseload
• Participating in client meetings and providing clear, practical counsel
• Managing case files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with staff to ensure efficient, client-centered case management
• Draft and negotiate parentage, marital and pre/post-nuptial agreements

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and an active Illinois license (or eligibility for prompt admission)
• A minimum of one year of courtroom experience
• A strong foundation in domestic relations litigation, through practice experience or coursework
• Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills, including a proven ability to draft complaints, responses, and motions, prepare oral arguments, and present effectively in court
• Proficiency in legal research across case law, statutes, regulations, and secondary sources
• Demonstrated negotiation skills in settlements, agreements, and dispute resolution
• The ability to communicate legal concepts to clients clearly and practically
• A high level of professionalism, sound ethical judgment, and the capacity to manage multiple matters and deadlines
• Prior domestic relations experience or a litigation-focused clerkship preferred

Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000+, commensurate with experience Location: Oak Brook, IL (in-person)
