Role Description The Property Restoration Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Lake Bluff, IL. In this role, the technician assists with emergency response and mitigation efforts, including water extraction, structural drying, and debris removal. Daily tasks include assessing damage, setting up and monitoring restoration equipment, documenting work performed, and maintaining clean, safe job sites. The technician communicates with team members and supervisors to coordinate work, follow job plans, and meet project timelines. The role also requires adherence to safety protocols, proper handling of materials, and professional interaction with property owners and other stakeholders. Qualifications Knowledge of water damage and water damage restoration techniques, including extraction, drying, and dehumidification. Experience with mitigation practices, such as stabilizing affected areas and preventing secondary damage. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers. Awareness of environmental concerns, including invasive species or contaminants that may affect restoration work. Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, moving equipment, and working in varied conditions. Attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions and document work accurately. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
