PRN CT Technologist

PRN CT TECHNOLOGISTThe PRN CT Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures for interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner. This role requires technical expertise, attention to patient safety, and the ability to work flexible, as-needed shifts while maintaining high standards of quality care. The PRN CT Technologist reports to the Office Manager of Blue Star Imaging and is a PRN position based in Boerne, TX.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform CT scans according to established protocols and physician ordersPrepare patients for CT procedures, including explaining exams and addressing concernsEnsure proper patient positioning and image qualityAdminister contrast media as required, following safety guidelines and protocolsMonitor patients during procedures for adverse reactions or complicationsOperate and maintain CT equipment; report malfunctions as neededAdhere to radiation safety principles and ALARA standardsAccurately document patient information, procedures, and imaging data in the electronic medical record (EMR)Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulationsCollaborate with radiologists, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient careMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentQualificationsMinimum 1-year clinical experience in CTGraduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology programRegistered Radiologic Technologist (RT[R]) by ARRTAdvanced certification in Computed Tomography (CT) or CT registry eligibleCurrent state licensureBLS/CPR certificationAbility to work independently and adapt to varying workloadsFamiliarity with PACS and EMR systemsPrior CT experience in an outpatient imaging setting is preferredAbility to assist and position patients, including lifting up to 50 lbs. with assistance.Physical stamina to stand for hours, bend, lean, squat, and/or sit as needed throughout the day.Manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer systems.Good vision and hearing for accurate assessment of images and patient communication.The Dallas Cowboys provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
