Job Description Overview As an Applebee's Cook, you will prepare menu items that make guests want to return. You must be a great communicator and able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. You will work hard, and have a great time doing it. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items to specifications and ensure quality, consistency, and presentation. Communicate effectively with team members and dining room staff to ensure smooth service. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation; follow health and safety guidelines. Handle food safely and adhere to company policies on food handling and hygiene. Requirements Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to communicate effectively with others. Commitment to making an impact and contributing to a positive team environment. Compensation and Benefits Compensation: Applebee's® Cooks start at $18 up to $25.00 per hour, plus tips. Paid sick leave and other benefits as applicable by location. Physical Standards Ability to remain stationary and move for lengthy periods (up to 4 hours). Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds; work in hot and damp environments. Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively; dexterity for using small tools and equipment. Ability to wear protective gear and disinfectant cleaning supplies; frequent handwashing.
