Associate Manager, Sales Strategy & Operations, Commerce Platform

About The Team Our Account Development Strategy & Operations team is responsible for designing, building, and running a world‑class sales organization to successfully grow our SMB restaurants through leading product solutions. About The Role The ideal candidate is a builder who thrives in ambiguity but grounds their work in uncompromising operational rigor. You will be responsible for translating high‑level company objectives into actionable quarterly sales goals. You will balance strategic vision with the technical and operational discipline required to stand up new functions and systems, audit sales funnels, and leverage cutting‑edge AI to maximize productivity. You will report to the Senior Manager of Sales Strategy & Operations, working at the intersection of Product, Sales, and Analytics to turn a research‑backed vision into a highly disciplined, scaled revenue engine. Responsibilities Translate strategy into execution: help establish demanding quarterly sales targets, focusing the team on key growth drivers to maintain consistent and rapid expansion. Establish operational governance: help run the cadence of the business, including weekly business reviews, ensuring every lead, opportunity, and deal is tracked with precision. Drive sales acceleration through rigor: improve the efficiency of our sales team by implementing tooling and systems updates, and optimizing the sales funnel through meticulous measurement and inspection for where we are succeeding or need improvement. Innovate with AI: lead constant discovery on the latest AI tools and technologies to drive step‑function improvements in sales productivity and outreach effectiveness. Qualifications 4+ years of experience in sales/business planning, strategy & operations, business consulting, or analytics. Proven track record of leading cross‑functional initiatives, hitting goals, and succeeding in a complex and fast‑moving environment. Bachelor’s degree or higher. Excellent analytical thinker who can deliver actionable recommendations out of complex datasets; SQL experience strongly preferred as is experience with Salesforce/Excel. Ability to map complex operational workflows, diagnose data gaps, and architect AI‑driven solutions end‑to‑end—from process discovery through prototype to production deployment. Experience building AI tooling (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) and shipping real automation that eliminates manual work, closes visibility gaps, and accelerates decision‑making across the business. System‑thinking mindset: treat every broken process as a build opportunity and every data gap as a use case waiting to be deployed. This is an AI‑native operating environment where you are expected to build, test, and iterate continuously. Compensation The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job‑related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. The ranges are market‑dependent and may be modified in the future. In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information. National base pay range within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado: $105,400—$155,000 USD. Benefits DoorDash cares about you and your overall well‑being. Paid Time Off Details For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year. For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
