Shipping Manager

Known for innovation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction, we are seeking aShipping/EDI/Customer Service Manager to oversee critical operations in shipping, EDI processes, and customer service. Position Overview The Shipping/EDI/Customer Service Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end shipping process, ensuring timely and accurate EDI file processing, and maintaining exceptional customer service. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and warehouses to ensure seamless operations and compliance with customer requirements. Key Responsibilities EDI File Processing Process EDI files and analyze raw EDI data for accuracy and completeness, including UPCs, pre-packs, pricing, and quantities. Cross-reference bulk data in the system, resolving discrepancies by coordinating with sales teams and vendors. Ensure efficient management of incoming and outgoing EDI files. Order Allocation & Shipping Allocate orders in the system and prepare them for shipping. Create shipping labels manually for non-EDI accounts and ensure compliance with customer requirements. Generate shipping labels for EDI accounts, leveraging automation tools for efficiency. Prepare BOLs, manifests, packing lists, and pull sheets, revising as needed based on customer authorizations. ASN & Invoicing Send Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs) and invoices once shipments are picked up, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Collaborate with Rosenthal and customers for invoice submissions. International Shipping Create detailed documentation for international shipments, including invoices, packing lists, and declaration forms. Warehouse Coordination Run daily reports to allocate merchandise and ensure timely processing. Communicate regularly with the warehouse team to provide updates and resolve issues. Support physical inventory processes in collaboration with warehouse staff. Maintain and update shipping guidelines for each customer, ensuring compliance with specific requirements. Qualifications Experience: 3+ years of experience in shipping, EDI file processing, and customer service, preferably within the apparel industry. EDI Expertise: Strong experience in reading and analyzing raw EDI data. Technical Skills: Proficiency in A2000 or similar ERP systems and familiarity with shipping software. Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high volumes of data and multitask effectively. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with internal and external teams. Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Flexibility: Willingness to accommodate occasional after-hours work to meet customer and vendor requirements. Problem Solving: Proactive and resourceful approach to identifying and resolving issues. Work Schedule Location: New York office, 4 days a week in-office, 1 day remote.
