Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Registered Nurse – Acute Care

Schedule: Shift: 7AM-7PM

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred.
• Current Registration and Licensure in the State as an RN.
• Must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required (New employees certify within three months after hire date).
• Current ACLS certification (New employees should obtain per guidelines of the Education Course Requirements policy).
• Nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the healthcare team using evidence-based practices to provide safe and optimal patient outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and families to promote continuity of care.
• Direct the work of support staff in the provision of care.
• Perform general nursing duties utilizing critical thinking skills with minimal supervision.
• Care for patients across the lifespan, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations.
