Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care on a medical-surgical telemetry unit for adult patients
• Monitor telemetry data, assess patient status, and respond to rhythm changes or alarms
• Administer prescribed medications and document interventions in the electronic medical record
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team; coordinate with physicians and ancillary staff
• Support discharge planning and patient/family education to facilitate safe transitions
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and infection control standards; document accurately and promptly

Requirements

• Experience on a medical-surgical telemetry unit or similar setting
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule (7a–7p or 7p–7a)
• Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment
• Ability to perform duties in a hospital setting with telemetry monitoring
