Required Days from an Office Location: Tuesday and Wednesday - the third required day will be up to the candidate and their supervisor to choose.SummaryNISC is looking for a passionate, experienced Manual Quality Assurance Tester. This position will work with our talented employees within the software engineering, product, quality assurance and software support teams to ensure quality and functionality requirements are met. A successful candidate for this team will be dedicated to quality and can be flexible and productive in a fast-paced environment.Essential DutiesAssist and perform in testing basic level tasks to test software changes meet design specification and are functioning within total quality management standards.Research, test and report results of testing scenarios.Write release notes and new system enhancement documentation.Participate on design teams regarding enhancements to products.Test system documentation as necessary and suggest edits/enhancements.Answer basic level questions regarding application screens and processes responsible for testing.Communicates with developers and software engineers on product issues.Gathers and interprets source materials such as design and test specification, design diagrams and schematics.Leverage generative AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity, creativity, and problem-solving within the scope of the role.Commitment to NISC's Statement of Shared Values.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities PreferredBasic level knowledge of quality assurance testing and automated testing tools, including mobile testing.Possess basic ability to troubleshoot.Basic level knowledge level of business-related software applications and services.Basic level knowledge of NISC's technology stacks.Basic level knowledge of the Utility or Broadband industries.Basic level knowledge of Project Management processes and theory.Basic verbal and written communication skills.Excellent telephone/email etiquette and an ability to deal effectively with Member/Customers.Basic research and problem-solving skills.Possess a strong attention to detail.Basic level ability to organize and prioritize.Basic level ability to set and manage internal and external Member/Customer expectations.Basic level ability to demonstrate initiative and accountability.Basic level knowledge of software and software integrations.Ability to travel as often as necessary to meet the goals and objectives of the position.Education PreferredBachelor's Degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.Minimum Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
