Travel Labor And Delivery Nurse

Provide high-quality labor and delivery nursing care to high-risk mothers and newborns in a 13-week travel assignment in Madison, Wisconsin. Manage obstetric assessments, interventions, and fetal monitoring while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Deliver patient safety and optimal outcomes during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality labor and delivery nursing care to high-risk mothers and newborns, including managing obstetric assessments and interventions
• Assist with circulating in C-section deliveries and support for tubal ligation, cerclage, hysterectomies, and postpartum recoveries
• Monitor fetal and maternal health using fetal monitoring equipment and perform maternal assessments during labor and delivery
• Collaborate with obstetric and neonatal teams, including midwives, physicians, and support staff, to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities within EPIC and adhere to facility protocols and safety standards

Qualifications:

• Valid registered nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
• BLS certification
• NRP certification
• FHM (First Holistic Maternity) certification
• Minimum 2 years Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Ability to work 36 hours per week on day shifts
• Flexibility to work every other weekend
• Physical ability to assist with high-risk obstetric procedures
• Strong maternal and fetal assessment skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
