Job Description Location: Dallas, TX Compensation: $130,000 – $155,000 Base Salary + 12% Incentive Bonus Schedule: 4 Days In Office | Remote Fridays Position Overview A boutique fiduciary and wealth services organization is seeking an experienced Senior Trust Officer specializing in Special Needs Trusts (SNTs). This individual will oversee a portfolio of Special Needs Trusts and complex fiduciary accounts while serving as a trusted advisor to beneficiaries, caregivers, families, attorneys, and financial professionals. This role requires a unique combination of technical fiduciary expertise and high-touch relationship management. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of Special Needs Trust administration, public benefits coordination, fiduciary principles, and trust operations while delivering compassionate and thoughtful client service in sensitive situations. The organization provides dedicated Trust Administrator support, allowing Senior Trust Officers to focus on fiduciary oversight, client relationships, and complex trust administration rather than administrative processing. Why This Opportunity Stands Out Dedicated Trust Administrator support structure Lower account loads (approximately 100–150 accounts per officer) Ability to focus on client relationships, fiduciary oversight, and complex trust administration Leadership team focused on positive culture and collaboration Hybrid schedule with limited travel requirements Key Responsibilities Special Needs Trust Administration Serve as the primary relationship lead for a portfolio of Special Needs Trusts and complex fiduciary accounts Administer trusts in accordance with governing documents, fiduciary standards, and applicable regulations Interpret trust documents and ensure accurate, compliant fiduciary execution Guide families and caregivers through distribution decisions involving SSI considerations, Medicaid eligibility, and public benefits preservation Client & Beneficiary Relationship Management Build and maintain trusted relationships with beneficiaries, families, caregivers, estate planning attorneys, and financial advisors Provide proactive guidance and support in sensitive and nuanced situations Deliver a white-glove, relationship-focused client experience Risk Management & Fiduciary Oversight Anticipate client needs and proactively identify fiduciary or operational risks Coordinate closely with internal investment, trust administration, and operations teams Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and fiduciary compliance standards are maintained Support continued development and growth of a specialized Special Needs Trust practice Required Qualifications 8+ years of trust administration experience Meaningful experience with Special Needs Trusts (SNTs), estate administration, and fiduciary oversight Strong understanding of fiduciary principles, trust operations, estate administration workflows, and regulatory requirements Deep knowledge of SSI regulations, Medicaid eligibility considerations, and public benefits coordination related to Special Needs Trusts Experience working directly with high-net-worth families, beneficiaries, caregivers, attorneys, and external advisors Strong understanding of estate and trust tax coordination Exceptional communication, empathy, and relationship management skills Ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously with strong attention to detail Ability to work independently within a boutique, high-touch fiduciary environment Preferred Qualifications CTFA strongly preferred JD, CFP, or CPA preferred Experience coordinating with estate planning attorneys and probate processes Experience partnering with dedicated trust administration and operations support teams Team Structure & Reporting Reports to Regional Trust Manager Supported by dedicated Trust Administrator resources Collaborative fiduciary team environment focused on client relationships and technical excellence MOHR Talent is an equal‑opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local nondiscrimination laws.
