Site Superintendent II (Mission Critical)

Position Summary: Hendeson Building Solutions is seeking a Site Superintendent II to support mission-critical projects in San Antonio, Texas. The Site Superintendent II manages day-to-day field operations, site logistics, safety compliance, schedule maintenance, and client relationships. The role requires understanding all contract documents, enforcing jobsite rules, maintaining cleanliness, and reporting disputes to the Construction Manager for resolution. Key Responsibilities: Assist in creating the final schedule with subcontractors, suppliers, internal scheduling staff, and other clients. Provide input on schedule of values and update project completion percentages for billing purposes. Police all site logistics for maximum efficiency and ensure client operations are never interrupted. Collaborate with the Safety Director to maintain strict compliance with the organization’s safety plan. Ensure labor continuity in the event of labor disruption or threat of disruption. Communicate with the client to maintain the project schedule if a disruption occurs. Work with the client to resolve union and/or non‑union labor disputes. Implement and maintain the organization’s quality control plan for the project. Communicate quality concerns to the Construction Manager and collaborate on action plans. Implement action plans without disrupting the schedule unless agreed to by the client. Qualifications: High school diploma required; graduate of applicable trade school preferred. Minimum seven (7) years of field construction supervision experience as a superintendent or foreman, or similar field construction roles. Supervisory experience preferred, including development and oversight of field crews. OSHA 30‑hour certification required. CPR/First‑Aid certification required. Thorough understanding of federal, multi‑state, and local construction safety regulations. Familiarity with construction industry practices, quality control processes, and standards. Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Superior interpersonal skills such as diplomacy, persuasion, assertiveness, and managerial courage. Ability to establish and foster effective professional relationships with employees, vendors, and contractors. Effective time management and organizational skills. Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑management skills. Must demonstrate proficiency in all core competencies described in this job description. Physical & Work Environment Requirements: Other duties as assigned. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Ability to navigate a variety of settings, including on project sites. Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to operate a computer and office machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer. Ability to stand and sit frequently. Routine driving to local/regional project sites required. Valid driver’s license required.
