This role ensures the accuracy of financial results, supports operational decision-making, and helps drive financial efficiency within a food production and consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment.## Qualifications### **Financial Management & Reporting*** Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes* Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)* Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements* Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership### **Cost Accounting & Inventory*** Manage cost accounting systems, including standard costing and variance analysis* Monitor production costs, ingredient usage, labor, and overhead* Oversee inventory accounting, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods* Partner with operations to improve margins and reduce waste### **Budgeting & Forecasting*** Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes* Track performance against budget and provide variance analysis* Support strategic planning and financial modeling### **Internal Controls & Compliance*** Establish and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting* Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and food industry reporting standards* Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies### **Team Leadership*** Manage and develop the accounting team* Improve processes and implement best practices in accounting systems* Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement### **Systems & Process Improvement*** Oversee ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.)* Identify opportunities to automate and streamline financial processes* Support cross-functional initiatives with operations, supply chain, and sales---## **Qualifications**### **Required*** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field* 7–10+ years of accounting/finance experience* 3+ years in a leadership role (Controller, Assistant Controller, etc.)* Strong knowledge of GAAP* Experience with cost accounting and inventory management### **Preferred*** CPA or CMA certification* Experience in **food manufacturing, bakery, or CPG industry*** Familiarity with production environments and supply chain finance* Experience with ERP systems #J-18808-Ljbffr
