Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our team. The role involves general warehouse tasks, including picking orders from provided lists, assisting with unloading trucks, and maintaining the facility. You will prioritize tasks, ensure inventory quality control, and operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders using a provided list at the start of the day.

• Assist in unloading incoming donations from trucks.

• Inspect donations and report any issues to the warehouse team.

• Store products appropriately in dry, freezer, and cooler areas.

• Help maintain inventory quality control.

• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual inventories with the warehouse manager.

• Perform general maintenance and janitorial duties in the warehouse, office, and common areas.

• Ensure the warehouse complies with health regulations through regular cleaning and repairs.

• Operate and maintain warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

• Assist volunteers and organize work stations for volunteer projects.

• Participate in daily warehouse operations and other related activities as required.

• Deliver and pick up local products.

Essential Skills

• Forklift experience

• Basic computer skills

• Ability to lift 60 lbs

• 3 years of general warehousing knowledge

• High school diploma or GED

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English

• Professional interaction with customers

• Pallet jack/forklift experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wallingford, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
