We invest in our people because when our team succeeds, our customers and communities do too.We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Shop Manager to lead the daily operations of our Harrisburg fabrication shop. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for directing shop workflow and staff while remaining actively involved in the fabrication of metal and fiberglass ductwork. The Fabrication Shop Manager will help ensure production needs are completed safely, accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.Compensation: $40/hr+ based on experience and qualifications.Key Responsibilities:Lead daily fabrication shop operations, including work assignments, training, coaching, and performance management of Duct Fabrication TechniciansManage incoming ductwork requests, prioritize service orders, and coordinate shop workflow to meet field and project needsFabricate and oversee the fabrication of metal and fiberglass ductwork using coil line, plasma arc burn table, duct fabrication programs, and related shop equipmentMaintain accurate production records, including job specifications, labor, materials, costs, and appropriate cost-center allocationManage fabrication materials, inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships to support production needsCoordinate preventative maintenance and repairs for fabrication equipment to minimize downtime and maintain safe operationPartner with field and office teams to communicate production needs, resolve issues, and respond to changing project requirementsMonitor productivity, material utilization, quality, and workflow to reduce waste and improve shop efficiencyPromote and enforce company safety standards and the proper use and care of fabrication tools and equipmentWhat We're Looking For:5+ years of experience in sheet metal, duct fabrication, HVAC fabrication, or a related trade environment2+ years of management or supervisory experienceStrong knowledge of sheet metal and duct fabrication methods, materials, equipment, and shop practicesAbility to read and interpret ductwork specifications, measurements, drawings, and job-related documentationExperience with duct fabrication software and Microsoft OfficeStrong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skillsExperience with material tracking, inventory control, cost allocation, and production-related cost managementHigh school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training in sheet metal fabrication, HVAC, or a related field preferredForklift certification or ability to obtain upon hireValid PA driver's license with acceptable driving recordAbility to read, write, and communicate in English for safety, training, and operational coordinationWhat We Can Offer:Competitive pay and reliable, year-round workEmployee ownership through our ESOP – company-funded stock contributions at no cost to you, so you share directly in the company's success401(k) with weekly company contributionsAffordable medical benefits with FSA and HSA options100% employer-paid life insurance and short-term disabilityPaid time off, holidays, and annual bonus opportunitiesOngoing training and clear paths for growth and advancementJoin an employee-owned team where leadership, craftsmanship, safety, and accountability are valued every day.
