Key points:
• 25 positions, contract to hire after 6 months.
• Two levels - Sr. and VP. Level
• Sr. level salary should be between - $120 and $140K and VP level should be between $140 and $160K
• MUST sit onsite in Dallas, TX - relocation OK
• MUST work on W2 - No C2C, visas fine as long as they do not expire for 2+ years. No sponsorship provided by S3 since there is a short turnaround time from consultant to FTE.

Job Title: Private Equity Fund Accountant (Relocation to Dallas Required)

Contract Length: 12 months contract-to-hire


Salary: Controller/VP - $150-160K/yr.; Senior-level - $120-140K/yr.

Job Description:

Controllers ensure that the firm meets all the financial control and reporting obligations of a global, regulated and public financial institution. In the Controllers Department, our professionals measure the profitability of, and risks associated with, every aspect of the firm's business. Controllers also ensure that the firm's activities are conducted in compliance with the regulations governing transactions in the financial markets.

Principal Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly accounting and reporting packages, including fund-level net asset values and investor capital statements for private equity investment funds.
• Prepare ad hoc reporting requests, management fee analysis, cash flow analysis, and provide assistance with client audit and financial reporting related requests.
• Prepare and book journal entries relating to daily cash activity, investment activity, currency purchases/exchanges, swap settings, debt payments, fund expenses, and investor contributions and distributions.
• Prepare period-end close transactions including mark-to-market valuation and foreign currency adjustments, accruals, and other transactions.

Required Skills/Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Controller/VP-level requires a current CPA certification and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience. Senior-level requires 5-8 years of relevant experience. Public Accounting experience preferable.
• Strong accounting background, including booking journal entries, performing account reconciliation, and performing account analysis.
• Strong experience in Private Equity Fund Accounting with established tenure at organization(s).
• Strong MS Excel skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Auditing experience.
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload such that deadlines are consistently met without exception.
• Experience with debt and equity investments.
• Partnership accounting experience.
• Experience in accounting for foreign currency transactions.
• General ledger experience.
• Managerial experience in a team environment.
