Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Exciting opportunity for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to make a lasting impact in a school-based setting! A full-time contract opening is available for the upcoming academic year, with a start date of August 27, 2026. This position will cover an approximately 12-week FMLA leave and offers the possibility of extension. You’ll support students ranging from Pre-K to 12th grade, delivering vital occupational therapy services across an entire district.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Connecticut COTA license and successful completion of the NBCOT exam
• Strongly preferred: Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy
• Reliable transportation to work at multiple school campuses as needed
• Enthusiastic about working with students of varying abilities and ages
• Collaborative mindset for working with OTs, teachers, and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Collaborate closely with the educational team to support student goals and participation in school activities
• Provide direct interventions to students, adjusting approaches to meet individual needs
• Accurately document student progress and service delivery
• Travel between schools within the district (district-wide role) to provide consistent therapy services
