• Required to work weekends, may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs

Description:

The ICU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to critically ill patients. Candidates must have experience with a patient ratio of 1:2. The RN will manage patients with complex health issues including respiratory failure, pneumonia, acute myocardial infarction, and sepsis. Monitoring and titrating medications for patients requiring continuous IV sedation and vasoactive drips are essential duties. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in managing central lines, ventilators, and IV drips. Experience with procedures such as external ventricular drain management, chest tube management, and cardiac surgery recovery is important. Physical assessment, medication administration, and patient safety management are critical skills required for this role. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care and recovery. All travelers are expected to float between all facilities within a given state. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment. Compliance with all facility policies and procedures is required.
