Job Title: 1st shift Production Supervisor

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading production personnel, maintaining product quality standards, ensuring workplace safety, and driving operational efficiency. This position requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage workflow, troubleshoot production issues, and foster a productive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities to ensure output meets quality and formula specifications.
• Assign responsibilities, coordinate workflow, and prepare employee schedules.
• Communicate daily and weekly production goals to team members.
• Coach, train, and develop production employees.
• Troubleshoot production and equipment-related issues.
• Monitor production output and ensure compliance with established specifications.
• Enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Ensure safe operation and proper use of equipment.
• Support overall plant performance and assist with additional duties as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience required
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience required
• Chemical production industry experience preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Work Environment

This hands-on leadership role is situated within a chemical manufacturing environment, requiring active presence on the production floor overseeing daily operations and employee performance. The team atmosphere is collaborative, focused on achieving production goals and continuous improvement. You will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with production, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams. The environment emphasizes a safety-first culture with compliance, proper equipment use, and employee well-being. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tinley Park, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
