Job Overview Omni Berkshire Place is a luxury New York City hotel located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. Responsibilities Manage, direct, and coordinate all functions of the housekeeping department. Maintain impeccable levels of cleanliness and guest experience, meeting Medallia, AAA, and Inn‑keeping standards. Ensure smooth, efficient, and economic operations in the housekeeping departments; specify and purchase supplies; record all data related to housekeeping and laundry. Effectively monitor the preventative maintenance program throughout the hotel. Maintain a highly motivated and trained staff that consistently strives for excellence in service and cleanliness. Monitor and control labor costs for housekeeping, achieving targeted payroll. Coordinate with front‑office to ensure rooms are available for sale and with engineering to keep guest rooms and public areas at peak operative levels. Maintain coordination and communication with other internal departments. Control issuance and retrieval of associate uniforms. Lead, manage, and support the management team in day‑to‑day operations. Manage housekeeping division financials – payroll, expense management, productivity, purchasing oversight, forecasting, budgeting, and meeting financial targets. Monitor all guest requests and ensure timely fulfillment. Inspect and tour all public areas several times daily. Qualifications Inspect all VIP rooms daily. Monitor guest complaints and take corrective action as necessary. Maintain and administer quarterly linen inventories; develop action plans to address shrinkage. Assist with budget processes as required by the Hotel Manager. Develop master cleaning schedules and administer them. Monitor housekeeping inventories to ensure adequate supplies; analyze amenity consumption. Maintain accurate payroll information for housekeeping staff and control payroll in accordance with the plan. Ensure all systems and controls, loss prevention, and energy conservation guidelines are on line. Union experience required.
