This position creates documentation tailored for users with varying technical knowledge levels, ensuring operators can effectively utilize system capabilities. The writer works closely with development teams, SMEs, and users to produce accurate, accessible documentation.Key Responsibilities:Create and maintain user guides, installation instructions, and integration guidesDevelop training materials with clear examples and illustrationsWrite and update release notes for each deploymentCreate troubleshooting documentation and FAQsDevelop in-program tutorials for complex conceptsCoordinate documentation reviews with independent reviewersMaintain documentation in Government-approved repositoriesApply appropriate classification and distribution markingsSupport knowledge transfer and transition activitiesEnsure documentation meets 508 compliance requirementsRequired Qualifications:Minimum 10 years of technical writing experienceBachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, or related field (or equivalent)Experience documenting complex software systemsProficiency with documentation tools (Confluence, Markdown, etc.)Strong understanding of software development processesAbility to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiencesExperience writing documentation in classified environmentsKnowledge of style guides and documentation standardsActive TS/SCI clearanceMust be U.S. citizenSalary & BenefitsThe salary associated with this position ($99,000-$206,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise.
