The general warehouse associate is responsible for picking, scanning, labeling, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking product. This individual is also responsible for counting and inspecting product and notifying leadership when there are damages or discrepancies. These associates are accountable for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and will be expected to perform all duties as assigned. As part of the DSV team, associates are expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, and quality. Associates are expected to comply with all corporate and site-specific policies.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Picking responsibilities such as using a pallet jack to accurately pick orders to fulfill client demands.
• Quality control responsibilities including using the appropriate documentation to ensure that all products and orders are received, handled and shipped correctly.
• Safety, housekeeping, and compliance responsibilities such as executing all safety protocols and maintaining a clean, neat, orderly work area.
• Equipment operation including the upkeep of equipment and reporting of equipment problems.
• Maintenance including building, grounds and equipment maintenance as assigned.

Other duties include performing other duties as assigned and working overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.

Supervisory responsibilities include none.

Minimum required qualifications include a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), ability to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse, strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.

Preferred qualifications include 6 months experience working in a warehouse/ logistics /distribution environment and current or prior MHE certification.

Physical demands include occasionally handling/fingering, sitting, frequently bending, constantly walking and standing, ability to lift/carry and push/pull 21-50 pounds, and reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel.

Work environment includes rarely being exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and the noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
