The role: You will be the product owner for the full Recommendations portfolio - Ads, Business Messaging, Premium and Growth - working out of Stockholm and reporting to the Associate Director. This is a broad, senior IC role: you own the roadmap across several monetization surfaces at once, translate business goals from commercial, growth, and premium stakeholders into ML product bets, and decide where a specialized engineering and data science team spends its time. You will work close to the metal - experiments, ranking metrics, revenue per impression, conversion funnels - and close to the top - steering-committee roadmaps and quarterly commitments. What you'll do: Own the product roadmap for the Recommendations portfolio across Ads, Business Messaging, Premium and Growth - one coherent strategy across surfaces that today compete for the same models, data and engineers. Turn commercial targets into ML product work: define the opportunity, size it, frame the hypothesis, and prioritize it against everything else the team could ship. Drive the experimentation cadence end to end - hypothesis, A/B design, guardrail metrics, readout, ship/kill decision - and keep the bar high on what counts as a win. Partner daily with engineering, data science and analytics in Stockholm, and with commercial, sales and growth stakeholders across Stockholm and Bangalore. Own the numbers: revenue and engagement KPIs per surface, forecast impact of roadmap items, and report progress to senior leadership on a monthly and quarterly cadence. Act as the product voice in architecture and platform decisions - reusable, config-driven ML systems over one-off solutions. What you bring in: 5+ years of product management experience, with several of those years owning ML-driven or data-intensive products in production - recommendations, ads, ranking, personalization or similar. Fluency in experimentation: you can design an A/B test, argue about statistical power and guardrails, and read your own dashboards without waiting for an analyst. Comfort with the technical substance - you don't need to build the models, but you can hold your own in a discussion about retrieval vs. ranking, exploration vs. exploitation, or online vs. offline metrics. A track record of managing a wide portfolio: multiple stakeholder groups, competing priorities, and the judgment to say no with a reason. Strong written and verbal communication - you will write documents that go to the leadership team and defend them. Experience working with distributed teams across time zones. It would be great if you also have: Experience in ad tech, martech or consumer monetization - auctions, attribution, pricing, or advertiser-facing products. Hands‑on comfort with SQL and data exploration. Experience taking over an established product area and earning trust with an existing senior engineering team.
