School Police Officer Position Description

This anticipated school police officer position is a first shift, 8 hour day, 10 month position. This position will be available for the start of the 2026-2027 school year. The salary and benefits are in accordance with the current School Police Officer Compensation Plan.

Applicants must be a US citizen; 21 years of age. Must possess a valid PA driver's license and a background in police work, 5 years experience preferred. Must have completed basic police officer training from an accredited police academy (ACT 120). The required NASRO basic SRO training will be provided by the district. Access to a district police vehicle will be provided whenever possible however the successful candidate may be required to use his or her own vehicle with paid mileage.

Completion of successful interview(s) is/are required along with meeting all local requirements.

The hourly rate is $30.90.
