Diagnostic Medical Sonographer I

Position Summary A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is a credentialed medical professional with academic and clinical experience, responsible for providing diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. The scope of practice includes procedures, acts, and processes permitted by law, for which the individual has received education and clinical experience and completed ARDMS or ARRT (US) registration, the standard of practice in Ultrasound. Minimum Requirements High school or equivalent (or higher) Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification ARDMS or ARRT (US) registration required (physics and one specialty exam AB, OB/GYN) or registry eligible with registration obtained within 18 months of date of hire 0 years of experience as US technologist (sonographer) Other Information Primary Shift: Night 12‑hour shifts Call only on Sundays On Call: Yes Weekends: Rotating IMPORTANT: This position is listed as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer I, but based on the minimum requirements that are met, the candidate of choice will be hired as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer I, II, III or IV.
