The role is on-site in El Segundo, California. Lead design, analysis, testing, trade studies, and production support for next‑generation Receiver/Exciter technologies and airborne radars. What You Will Do Lead design and trade of component selections including amplifiers, mixers, switches, resistors, diodes, and filters. Conduct simulations in linear and EM simulators, develop schematics and layouts. Develop and validate Special Test Equipment (STE), conduct testing and integration, and support production and post‑production technical phases. Take ownership as Responsible Engineering Authority (REA) for RF hardware from development through production support. Coordinate with test and production engineers, manage production schedules and line‑of‑balance needs, resolve production issues, and report status to higher management. Create and present technical data packages for program management and design reviews. Maintain and manage documentation for hardware designs. Mentor less experienced engineers and share knowledge to strengthen the team. Qualifications You Must Have Minimum 8 years of technical experience in microwave RF circuits or 5 years with an advanced degree in a related field. Expertise in design, analysis, development, bread‑boarding, troubleshooting, and testing of microwave RF circuits. Proficiency with software tools: Keysight ADS, National Instruments AWR Microwave Office, Sonnet EM, Ansys HFSS, AutoCAD or comparable. Experience with lab equipment including special test equipment, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power meters. Active and transferable U.S. security clearance, Secret level; U.S. citizenship required. Qualifications We Prefer Experience with system‑level software tools such as Keysight Genesys or SystemVue. Familiarity with MATLAB, ADS, HFSS, Mentor DxDesigner, and eXpedition or similar schematic/layout tools. 10+ years of technical experience in microwave RF circuits. Partial telecommuting allowed; expected to be on site or at designated suppliers regularly for hardware testing, classified discussions, and mentorship. Security Clearance & Citizenship Active and transferable Secret U.S. government security clearance required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required. Salary Range 118,300 USD – 224,900 USD (good faith estimate representative of all experience levels).
