Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Durham, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This driving position uses your communication and customer service skills while supporting security-related operations. DayTimeSat08:00 PM - 08:00 AMSun08:00 PM - 08:00 AMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, exterior grounds, access points, loading areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor and report access control concerns, visitor and contractor activity, and unauthorized entry attempts in accordance with site procedures.
- Document daily activities, patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns through clear and timely reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related experience, law enforcement experience, or military experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
