AHP are seeking a Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join our team! You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of assigned patients.

Job Details:

• Pay Rate - $54.75/hr
• Shifts - Morning 6am-2:30pm, Evenings 2:00pm-10:30pm, Nights 10:00pm-6:30am
• 40 hours per week - must be able to work every other weekend
• Full Time 13-20 Week Contract
• Weekly Pay!

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 year of Psych Experience
• Med/Surge, ER, Correctional experience desired
• must be comfortable with blood draws and assessment triage
• Current California RN License
• Correctional / Detention experieence preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS

Responsibilities:

• Provide basic nursing care to 300 adolescent (ages 8-18) patients (inmates or court wards), including the collection of specimens and general skin care.
• Provide Intravenous infusion and monitor intravenous therapy.
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
• Provide medication to numerous patients on a daily basis
• Assessing (aggressive) patients and their mental health
• Familiar with psychiatric medication
• Working in a locked unit with patients
• Assist in patient education and rehabilitation; instruct patients in carrying out physicians' orders.
• Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members
