We're searching for an Assistant Director who is ready to step into a leadership role at a growing arts organization, where no two days look the same and your work will leave a lasting mark on thousands of young lives across Connecticut. What You’ll Do As Assistant Director, you'll be at the center of cARTie's operations—keeping programs running smoothly while helping the organization grow its reach and deepen its impact. Coordinate scheduling and staffing efficiently across programs and events Develop content and communications materials that reflect cARTie's voice and mission Support grant writing, fundraising initiatives, and special event execution Collaborate with the Executive Director to build and maintain strong community relationships What You’ll Bring A degree in art, education, administration, museum studies, or a related field, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience Strong experience with the Reggio Emilia Approach, Project Zero's Artful Thinking Framework, Studio Habits of Mind, and Visual Thinking Strategies A valid driver's license and willingness to drive the cARTie art museum bus Flexibility to work evenings, early mornings, and weekends for events, school visits, and community programs What You’ll Gain This role offers far more than a job—it is a chance to do work that matters, alongside people who are deeply committed to the mission.
