Ensures that all tableware, pots and pans, utensils, other kitchen equipment and surfaces are clean and sanitary. Performs routine work with little or no deviation from accepted practices. Performs related duties as assigned. *Incumbent required to work every other weekend. Education Degree/Diploma Obtained Program of Study Required/Preferred High School Diploma or GED General Studies Required Certifications and Licensures Credential Required/Preferred None N/A Experience 1 of Years Type of Experience Required/Preferred 1+ General Kitchen Preferred Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Ability to work with and serve various age groups. - Good communication skills. - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. - Understanding of and ability to comply with sanitation standards. Job Specific Duties Cleaning Cleans and washes dishes by hand or machine, trays, silverware and pots and pans for morning and lunch meals. Sanitation Ensures the sanitation of the kitchen work area by cleaning and washing machines, mopping floor, taking garbage to the dumpster. Planning Plans daily work schedule of routine cleaning duties. Professionalism Upholds a professional working relationship at all times and adheres to department rules.
