Job Description:

Roles and Responsibilities of this role:

Perform duties, as stated, but not limited to whats listed, to meet IPSS objectives:

• Process documentation including, but not limited to examples such as Non-Disclosure agreements, supplier set-up information (SSI), Vendor Set-up Forms (VSUF) etc.
• Process rate information into PDAD logistics system (LIOS)
• Process ILA forms and submit to TMNA PSD and respective NAMCs
• Support Annual Business Review or Cost Control Challenge program including preparation of annual information, sending to suppliers, setting up meetings, and tracking of supplier progress
• Support suppliers contact information maintenance for requests for Regulatory, supplier surveys, and other general needs for supplier information.
• Support Data analytics and evaluation.
• Deep diving invoices to compare vs contracts.
• Compare internal systems vs contract rates.

Must Haves:

• Mastery of English
• Basic understanding of procurement processes
• Developed analytical and technical aptitude
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and successfully set priorities for meeting time-bound deliverables
• Developed communication skills
• Basic business application skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc, Web based systems)
• Bachelors degree with emphasis in Business Administration, Supply Chain or similar or equivalent experience
• 1 year of experience in procurement and/or supply chain function

Preferred or Nice-to-haves:

• Logistics or Packaging experience preferred
• Automotive Experience preferred.

Reason for contingent headcount?

• IPSS Operations Sourcing supports Logistics and Packaging spend, due to increased logistics projects and higher complexity of number of accessory programs and program complexity, this requires current Buyer headcount to support sourcing and analysis strategies.
• Contingent support will be responsible for administrative and semi-strategic functions to allow the Buyers to better complete the overall strategic aspects of their positions.

• IPSS Analyst Support

What are the key objectives for this candidate (project summary)?:

• To reallocate Buyer administrative responsibilities to contingent worker to allow for more time for strategic sourcing and analysis.
• Contingent resource objectives will be a support role for buyers, that can focus on semi-strategic activities and do some thinking on their own.
• Perform miscellaneous purchasing-oriented responsibilities and reporting activities

RM Notes:

• Hybrid (right now 100% WFH, Hybrid Oct 6th) with 2-3 days week in office.
• Team size: 4 total, +1 Support

Buyer:

• Our team is the Procurement team that sources ANY mode of transportation (trunk, rail, ocean, expedite).
• Client is responsible for moving freight for Client.
• Hiring this role because the Area has grown a lot and we are getting extra projects requests (Ie: Mfg plant needs a new lane or needs to find a different way to move something (rail vs. truck)) so buyers right now are overwhelmed.
• On top of these new requests, we are still buying, negotiating rates, etc. Normal contract rate negotiations AND extra project work is too much for team.
• Need this role to support the current team, work closely with all the buyers who manage the nuances of the commodities, move logistics, price logistics (great plus!).
• Ideal candidate will understand how high level PROCUREMENT works: Ie: Scope of ops, put into pricing templates, work with suppliers.
• In addition, looking for someone who is data oriented, loves a deep dive, or enjoys peeling the onion because current team hasnt had chance to review & analyze invoices/matching pricing sheets, etc. Ideal candidate also likes to look at data to assist in decision making.
• In addition, this role will keep up with the market trends/market data. Ie: Big thing impacting costs is Driver Salary (what are we paying people to drive trucks?) Driver salaries are tending this way or that way, etc.
• Vendors are established, no need to find new one. Will need to work with current vendors.
• Everything in Excel intermediate knowledge is fine, other technology and system work will be taught.
