Senior Software Engineer

Job Title How you'll spend your day: Collaborating with the team in a greenfield effort to develop an e-commerce platform from the ground up Visioning, prototyping, sandboxing and iterating on components and design patterns until we get it right Participating in the full software development life cycle, including coding, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations – you'll own the entire process Providing vision and leadership for the team so that all the pieces fit nicely together What we are looking for: BS in Computer Science or Engineering At least 7 years of experience working on enterprise-grade distribution services – self-service web app and e-commerce platform involvement useful but not required Advanced competency in, at least, one language such as Java, JavaScript, Rails, or PHP A skill kit contains a vast array of tools – next.js, Kubernetes, GitHub, circle.ci, cloud formation, AWS to name a few – public cloud experience a must An articulate communicator – you are able to translate your ideas into understandable presentations and documentation Passion for building high performing applications that you are proud to put your name on Commitment to producing detailed documentation Willingness to learn new technologies 1872 Consulting
